Love this video so much! Ive watched it twice so far and it’s really helping me unpack my time in early discovery in big pharma where even the development of drugs and potential cures was starting to feel like empty widget-making thanks to “corporate culture” and the pressure to identify with the big-wigs and separate ourselves from the rest of the working class. I’ve felt all of this so keenly. I tried to quiet quit and couldn’t because I cared too much about the patients that we are so far removed from. Leadership would dangle patient stories like a faux-moral carrot to drive a “sense of urgency”. Literally, where are we running? Anyway I burnt out spectacularly and found a place in a lab that pays $30,000 less per year, but screens newborn babies for treatable disorders. So, actual healthcare. The value I generate is much less abstract and it’s good for the psyche. Love all your work! Thanks for putting these videos out there!
